Joaquim Jordà Residencies: Project Presentations and Screenings at the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid

Hôtel Homère by Faraz Anoushahpour, Parastoo Anoushahpour, Ryan Ferko

Since 2022, the Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid), Doclisboa (Lisbon) and FIDMarseille have joined forces to offer an annual programme of research residencies called Joaquim Jordà. Drawing inspiration from the work of this emblematic Spanish filmmaker, the programme supports the conception and development of experimental and non-fiction film projects.

In 2026, the research fellowships have been awarded to Andrea Bussmann (Canada) and to the collective of artists and filmmakers made up of Parastoo Anoushahpour (Iran), Faraz Anoushahpour (Iran) and Ryan Ferko (Canada).

As part of this residency, and following their participation in FIDLab in July 2026, a special programme is dedicated to them at the Museo Reina Sofía’s Cinema: from 29 to 31 October, Madrid audiences will have the opportunity to discover their respective projects (Hôtel Homère by the collective; End of the Present by Andrea Bussmann) as well as a selection of their films.

In the presence of Parastoo Anoushahpour and Andrea Bussmann.
