Samuele is 12 years old and lives on an island in the middle of the sea. He goes to school, loves shooting and hunting with his slingshot. He enjoys land games, even though everything around him speaks of the sea and of men, women, and children trying to cross it to reach his island. Because he is not on just any island. This island is called Lampedusa, a highly symbolic border of Europe, crossed over the past 20 years by thousands of migrants in search of freedom.
