Between 2000 and 2008 Paolo Moretti worked for several film festivals and film institutions in Europe ; the Pompidou Center and Cinéma du Réel, Filmoteca Española, Leeds IFF, Cinemateca Portuguesa and One World IFF.
He was programme advisor for the Orizonti section of Venice Film Festival (2008-2011), the CinemaXXI section of the Rome FF and Visions du Réel (2012-2018), as well as Selection Committee member of FIDMarseille (2012-2018). He is an associate producer of L for Leisure by Lev Kalman & Whitney Horn (Bright Future IFFR 2014). Between 2014 and 2020 he directed the La Roche-sur-Yon IFF and the arthouse film theatre Le Concorde. He currently directs the Grütli arthouse film theatre in Geneva and, since November 2018, he is general delegate and artistic director of the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival.
