FIDLab 2019 Awards
FIDLab 2019The 11th edition of FIDLab took place on July 11th & 12th in Marseille.
An International coproduction platform for film projects at any stage of development. FIDLab 2019 selected 14 projects from 11 countries out of more than 318 projects received.
The FIDLab offers time for reflection and work in two stages: the presentation of projects supported by images and sound, followed by one-to-one meetings with professionals. This year, more than 230 one-to-one meetings took place.
The jury, composed of Meng Xie, founder and CEO of the Chinese production company and international sales Rediance; Marie Logie, director of the Belgian production and distribution platform Auguste Orts; and Christoph Friedel, German producer at Pandora Filmproduktion GmbH, decided to award 9 different in-kind prizes provided by the 9 FIDlab partners:
Air France Prize
The Award endowed by Air France goes to:

LThe laureate will receive from d’Air France 2 tickets for a long-haul flight
Commune Image Prize
The Award endowed by Commune Image, a post-production company, goes to :
HEART OF LIGHT
by Cynthia Beatt, produced by Black Forest Film / Germany and House on Fire / France
This Commune Image prize will allow 8 weeks use of edition facilities to the selected project.
Fondation Camargo Prize
The two Awards endowed by Camargo Foundation go to:
HUMAN FLOWERS OF FLESH
by Helena Wittmann, produced by Fünferfilm / Germany and Tita Production / France
UNRUEH (UNREST)
by Cyril Schäublin, produced by Seeland Film Produktion / Switzerland
This Fondation Camargo prize will allow a residency of 4 to 8 weeks.
Kodak – Silverway Prize
The Award endowed by Kodak – Silverway goes to :
ESQUI (SKI)
by Manque La Banca, produced by Un Puma / Argentina
The laureate will obtain celluloid reels offered by Kodak and their development by Silverway Paris.
Mactari Prize
The Award endowed by Mactari goes to:
MUDOS TESTIGOS (SILENT WITNESSES)
by Luis Ospina, produced by Invasión Cine / Colombia and Pomme Hurlante Films / France
This award will provide a sound editing and/or sound mix studio, without a technician, to the selected project.
Micro Climat Studios Prize
The Award endowed by Micro Climat Studios goes to:
FAR AWAY EYES
by Chun-Hong Wang, produced by Volos Films / Taiwan
The post-production company will offer services (image editing, sound editing, sound mix, color grading, conforming) to be chosen by the winner.
Sublimage Prize
The Award endowed by Sublimage goes to:
ARCHIPEL, 6852 (ARCHIPELAGO, 6852)
by Philippe Rouy, produced by ANDOLFI / France
The subtitling company Sublimage offers the adaptation and translation of their project in one of the 3 languages of their choice: French, English, Spanish.
Vidéo de Poche Prize
The Award endowed by Vidéo de Poche goes to:
LA CAMERA DEI GENITORI (THE PARENTS’ ROOM)

The post-production company Vidéo de Poche will offer a DCP of the film. It will also offer a special discount for the DCP creation to all the selected projects.
FIDLab is supported by the CNC, the City of Marseille, Région Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, the General Council of Bouches-du-Rhône, the Ministry of Culture PROCIREP, SCAM, Air France KLM and MEDIA Creative Europe.
The Award Ceremony was held at the Mucem – Fort Saint Jean in the presence of Jean-Pierre Rehm, Head of FIDMarseille, Fabienne Moris, Rebecca De Pas, co-heads of FIDLab and the FIDLab’s partners.
