FIDCampus

Created in 2013, FIDCampus is a week-long residency-training and exchange programme aimed at students from partner art and film schools, as well as emerging international filmmakers. Each year, up to fifteen young filmmakers are selected based on their most recent film and their motivation, and take part in an intensive training programme. The week begins with two days of mentorship and collective discussions about their films, led by professional contributors (directors, cinematographers, editors, sound engineers). This is followed by a rich programme of screenings, masterclasses, and meetings organised for the participants.

In 2025, FIDMarseille is further strengthening its commitment to international cooperation by stepping up its support for filmmakers, particularly those from Mediterranean countries. The aim is to foster the sharing of knowledge and expertise, networking of talent, and co-creation between the regions involved.

Thirteen young filmmakers will take part in the 12th edition of FIDCampus in 2025, coming from France, Tunisia, Palestine, Turkey, Serbia, Spain, Lebanon, Syria, Morocco, and Austria.

The 2025 promotion will be mentored by Caroline Champetier (director of photography and filmmaker,), Shai Heredia (filmmaker and curator), and Philippe Ciompi (editor, sound designer and composer).

FIDCampus is developed in collaboration with several partners: the Ville de Marseille; the Mucem; La CinéFabrique - the National Film School in Lyon and Marseille - which will award the CinéFabrique Grant to one of the participants; COPEAM, which co-organises the À Première Vue Prize with FIDCampus; and Maritima TV, which will award the PRIM0 MED IN DOC broadcasting prize to one of the FIDCampus laureates.
