Miguel Gomes is one of the major auteurs of contemporary cinema. Our Beloved Month of August, Tabu, Arabian Nights… His films, all presented at FIDMarseille, of which he is a faithful companion, have marked their time by combining a formal splendor inherited from classical cinema with a narrative inventiveness rooted in the contemporary.
We’re delighted to welcome him back to Marseille with the dizzying and romantic Grand Tour (Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Director 2024).
