A collection of photographs of everyday life in a Romanian village in the 1930s and 1940s. In voice-over, the diary of a Jewish doctor reveals what the images do not: the rise of anti-Semitism and the persecution of Jews in the Romanian countryside.

In the presence of the filmmaker, as part of the programme in connection with the Rencontres d’Arles.
