RESONATING SURFACES by Manon de Boer, winner of the
Marseille Espérance Prize at FIDMarseille 2006, is screened
in conjunction with the 52nd International Art Exhibition of
the Venice Biennale from the 10th of june to the 21st of
november 2007.
 

PARAISO by Felipe Guerrero, Special Mention of the First
Prize at FIDMarseille 2006, received a Mention of Honor
(Mención de Honor) at the International Meetings of Bogota
(Columbia). The film is programmed in the 10th Rencontres
Internationales du Documentaire de Montréal (International
Encounters of Documentary), from the 8th to 18th of
November 2007.
  

NÖMADAK TX by Raúl de la Fuente, presented at FIDMarseille
2007 in competition for First Film in the Parallel Screen
“Presto!” is presented at DOCNZ 2007 Documentary Film
Festival at Auckland, from the 27th of september to the 21st
of november, in The Margaret Mead Film & Video Festival of
New York, from the 9th to the 11th of november, in CPH: DOX,
International Festival of Documentary Films of Copenhagen,
from the 9th to the 18th of november 2007 and in the
International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam
(IDFA), from the 22nd of november to the 2nd of december
2007.
  

HIC ROSA, PARTITION BOTANIQUE by Anne-Marie Faux,
in French Competition at FIDMarseille 2007, received a
Mention from the Jury in the Rencontres
Cinématographiques de Cerbère, from the 5th to the 7th of october 2007. The film is programmed in the International
Independent Film Festival of Mar del Plata, from the 2nd to the 11th of november and at the MK2-Quai de Seine in Paris,
for the soirée Bref, the 13th of november 2007.
 
EL-BANATE DOL (CES FILLES-LA) by Tahani Rached,
presented at FIDMarseille 2007 in the Parallel Screen  “Film,
She Said”, selected in International Competition at Doclisboa, from the 24th to the 27th of October 2007, received the Grand Prix of the city of Lisbon. The film is programmed in the festival medfilmfest of Rome, from the 8th to the 18th of November 2007.
 

ENCONTROS by Pierre-Marie Goulet, Winner of the Sound
Prize at FIDMarseille 2006, received the Mayor’s Prize at the  Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival (Japan),
from the 4th to the 11th of october 2007.
 

HE FENGMING by Wang Bing, Winner of the Georges de
Beauregard International Prize at FIDMarseille 2007, received
the Grand Prix of the International Competition of the
Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival (Japan),
from the 4th to the 11th of october 2007. Selected in
International Competition at Doclisboa, from the 24th to the
27th of october 2007, it received the Prize of the University
IPJ for the best feature-length documentary. The film is also
presented at CPH:DOX, International Festival of Documentary
Films of  Copenhagen, from the 9th to the 18th of november
2007.
 

RUE SANTA FE by Carmen Castillo, in International
Competition at FIDMarseille 2007, is presented in the Autumn
Film Festival of Gardanne, from the 26th of october to the
6th of november and at CPH:DOX, International Festival of
Documentary Films of Copenhagen, from the 9th to the 18th
of november 2007.
 

1937 by Nora Martirosyan, in International Competition, Sound
Prize, at FIDMarseille 2007, is presented in the 29th cinemed,
International Festival of Mediterranean Cinema of
Montpellier from the 26th of october to the 4th of november 2007 and at the International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam from the 22nd of november to the 2nd of december 2007.
 

FRANCE 2007 by Jun Gee-Jung, Special Mention awarded by
the jury of the French Competition at FIDMarseille 2007,
received First Prize “Geste Court” in the Ecrans
Documentaires d'Arcueil, from the 30th of october to the
4th of november. It is selected in  CPH:DOX, International
Festival of Documentary Films of Copenhagen, from the 9th
to the 18th of november 2007.
 

NAWNA (JE NE SAIS PAS...) by Nazim Djemaï, Winner of the Georges de Beauregard National Prize at  FIDMarseille 2007, selected in the Ecrans Documentaires d'Arcueil, from the 30th of October to the 4th of November. It is also screened the 13th of November at 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Cité Internationale des Arts de Paris and the 20th of november at 5:00 p.m. at C.I.D of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
   

MAFROUZA OH LA NUIT ! by Emmanuelle Demoris, in
French Competition at FIDMarseille 2007 and
SÖNEMBÖÖR by Samuel Bester, selected in the Parallel
Screen “The Paths” in FIDMarseille 2007, have been selected in the Ecrans Documentaires d'Arcueil, from the 30th of october to the 4th of november.
  

THE HALFMOON FILES by Philip Scheffner, in International
Competition, Public Libraries Prize in FIDMarseille 2007, is
selected in the International Independent Film Festival of Mar del Plata,  from the 2nd to the 11th of november, in the
Duisburger Filmwoche (Film Week in Duisbourg), from the 5th to the 11th of november, to the 24th Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival, from the 13th  to the 18th of  november and in the International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam, from the 22nd of november to the 2nd december 2007.
In the context of a partnership between the FIDMarseille and the CVS Company that sponsors the Public Libraries Prize, CVS presents the film to the Club de l’Etoile in Paris, the 24th of november 2007 at 7:15 p.m., in the presence of the director, Philip Sheffner and Jean-Pierre Rehm

THE JOURNALS OF KNUD RASMSUSSEN by Zacharias Kunuk and Norman Cohn, in International Competition FIDMarseille 2007, is selected at the Ljubjana International Film Festival (Slovenia), from the 7th to the 21st of November 2007.

VHS KAHLOUCHA by Nejib Belkadhi, Winner of the Public
Libraries Prize at FIDMarseille 2006, is selected at the
 Festival des Cinémas d’Afrique du Pays d’Apt, (Festival of
the Cinemas of Africa)  from the 8th to 14th of november 2007.
The Bibliothèque Départementale des Bouches-du-Rhône
organizes within  “The Month of Documentary Film,” the
screening of the film on the following dates of november:
The 13th at 7 p.m. at the Château de Bouc-Bel-Air
The 14th at 6 p.m. at the Bibliothèque of Rousset
The 16th at 8:30 p.m. at the Centre socio culturel of Mollegès
The 17th at 2:30 p.m. at the Médiathèque of Rognac.
The film will also be screened at the Médiathèque de Rennes
the 24th of november at 8:30 in presence of Jean-Pierre Rehm.

Competition at FIDMarseille 2005, is presented at CPH:DOX,
International Festival of Documentary Films of Copenhagen
from the 9th to the 18th of november 2007.
LE MOINDRE GESTE by Fernand Deligny, Josée Manenti
and Jean-Pierre Daniel, presented at FIDMarseille 2002 in
the Parallel Screen “Shéhérazade”, is programmed Saturday
the 10th of november at 2:00 p.m. at La Cinémathèque
Française  in the programme, "Hommage to Fernand Deligny”.
It is also programmed in the Rendez-vous des quais,
proposed by the MAIF, Tilt, the CRDP of Aix-Marseille/CDDP
of  Bouches-du-Rhône, 14th of november 2007 at 4:00 p.m.
at the CRDP in Marseille.
  
BY THE WAYS (A JOURNEY WITH WILLIAM EGGLESTON) by Vincent Gérard and Cédric Laty, winner of the Georges de
Beauregard National Prize at FIDMarseille 2005, is selected in
the Festival Internacional San Luis Cine of San Luis (Argentina), from the 16th to the 25th of  november 2007. The film will also be screened at the Odyssée Cinema of
Strasbourg, from the 7th to the 20th of november and at the
 Desvosge Cinema of Dijon, from the 14th to the 21st of
november 2007.
   
DES INDES A LA PLANETE MARS by Christian Merlhiot and
Matthieu Orléan, in French Competition at FIDMarseille 2007,
will be screened at the Mac/Val in Vitry-sur-Seine, Saturday,
the 17th of november at 7 p.m. within the festival de l’espace.
GHIRO DE GHIRO TONDO by Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi, in International Competition at FIDMarseille 2007, is programmed  in non-competition at the  25th Torino Film Festival, from the 23rd of november to the 1st of  december 2007.
  
TRABALHO ESCRAVO by Nikola Chesnais, in French Competition at  FIDMarseille 2007, is selected at the Festival International du Film d’Environnement d’Ile-de-France,
(International Festival of the Environmental Film) of the
Ile-de-France, from the 21st to the 27th of november 2007.
LA PRISONNIERE DU PONT AUX DIONS by Gaël Lepingle, winner of the Georges de Beauregard National Prize at FIDMarseille 2006 is now available on the web, on the site

For the eighth year, the Mois du Film Documentaire  (The Month
of Documentary Film) makes november an imperative rendezvous
for documentary cinema, in metropolitan France, in the French
Overseas Territorities and Departments and abroad.

The 5th Festival des Cinémas d’Afrique du pays d’Apt
(Festival of the Cinemas of Africa) will take place from the 8th to
the 14th of november 2007. This festival invites us to “encounter
Africa via very diverse  filmmakers of all generations and from all
regions of the continent.”
  
The Académie de France à Rome - Villa Medici proposes Jean-Claude Rousseau, le géographe amoureux
(Jean-Claude Rousseau, the Amorous Geographer), a complete retrospective in presence of the filmmaker from the 6th to the
10th of november 2007.

at the Pantheon Cinema in Paris, from the 9th to the 11th
of november 2007, with, among others, screenings of:
EAST OF PARADISE by Lech Kowalski, presented in FIDMarseille
2006 in the Parallel Screen "Toutes les nuits (en 6 jours)" (All the
nights (in 6 Days)),
OPERA JAWA by Garin Nogroho, presented at FIDMarseille 2007
in the Parallel Screen  “Presto !”,
A SHORT FILM ABOUT THE INDIO NATIONAL by Raya Martin,
presented at FIDMarseille 2006 in the Parallel Screen "Be with me.”
 
Le Festival de 3 Continents (The Festival of 3 Continents) of
Nantes, from the 20th to the 27th of november 2007, proposes
Akram Zaatari, Lebanese filmmaker, an encounter with a  young
“collector” and his œuvre via 6 itineraries, in the crossroads of the
plastic arts and the documentary cinema. The film of ’Akram
Zaatari, AL YOUM was selected in International Competition and
winner of the Sound Prize in the FIDMarseille 2004.
  
     
Les Cahiers du cinéma and the Festival d'Automne (the Festival
of Autumn) in Paris presents Cinéma numérique (Digital Cinema)
from the  21st to the 27th of  november 2007 at MK2 Bibliothèque
in Paris, with screenings of:

2002 in the Parallel Screen “Shéhérazade,”
